Problem:
The original library kiosk at Shaker Heights Library was difficult to navigate, especially for users with visual impairments. It lacked key accessibility features, making it challenging for some users to complete tasks easily.

Process:
I researched user needs, focusing on accessibility for those with visual impairments. I analyzed the current process and industry standards to identify improvements. Wireframes were created
to simplify navigation and enhance accessibility.
Target Audience:
-
Library patrons of all ages, including those with visual impairments or other disabilities.
-
Individuals seeking a fast and efficient checkout process.
-
Frequent library users looking for a simple and intuitive kiosk experience.
Journey Map
The journey map highlights two user profiles: Amanda, who seeks an easy-to-use, accessible, and quick checkout experience, and Amar, who expects voice commands, high-contrast options, and easy navigation. Both benefit from the redesigned features, improving the kiosk experience for users with different needs.

Solution
The new design enhances accessibility with text-to-speech, adjustable text sizes, high-contrast colors,
and voice commands. A simplified layout and clear instructions improve navigation for a smoother user experience
